Re: Forum Registration, Posting Tips, Usage and Watchtower email accounts
wow, that was even stranger and more difficult than it has been for ? ?6-7 months, now.

I give my word I won't post again, in this thread, about technical glitches but PLEASE, someone ! please check out my account.

I cannot post here until it's fixed.
what I had to go through to post, this a.m. was just too convoluted to be able to continue to participate !

thank you---

Re: Lowell, MA & Newark, DE - were the bomb
.. not being able to hear at a concert is INFURIATINGLY frustrating

I'm simply relieved to know others feel the same way-

and speaking of 'isms', I'm guilty of my own-

because I chalk the difference up to the rock vs classical worlds. nuthin' to do with nationality

also, the times they certainly have changed: if recordings are any indication (Bootleg Series Vol 6, anyone?!), we don't live in the days of being able to hear a pin drop.. (heaven!), anymore.

ANY rock concert I've caught a snippet of on YouTube or t.v. has been full of screaming, "participating" "fans".. vs the classical world, where the words are 'listening audience.' at classical concerts (warnings of same are in printed programs), a serious disturbance means you will be escorted out. literally.

when I went to Amsterdam to see Dylan for 3 consecutive shows, I was just as frustrated by the noise/behavior (no offense to dear TwinWithin intended!) as I have been for EVERY SINGLE SHOW I've been to. no exception.

the only thing that helps is 'getting to the rail'. groan. with protective earplugs. (or paying $$$, if you can, for an unobstructed, first-row seat)

but getting to the rail is another series of crazy headaches--
sigh.

come to think of it, going to a Dylan concert (or any rock concert, I imagine- this has nothing to do with Dylan) is an ordeal ! which I have undertaken happily despite all.. to watch (attempt to hear) Dylan at work. live.

I still remember the first show. Worcester, MA. the entire night was spent fighting being squeezed between restless drinkers, in the horrible 'middle of the floor', in front of a bar, beer smell as thick as mist in the air--

by the time Rolling Stone rang out, and I realized the whole concert was over-- without my being able to hear one song- catch one glimpse of Dylan- and some %#$%%$%^#^#$! (sorry) started screaming, near my left ear, "like a robot" every time Dylan sang "like a rolling stone", I broke down.

tears rolling down my face, I stood there and developed an 'ism', on the spot.

the next morning, I was on line in Lewiston by 9 am. luckily, acp was there like a guardian angel, and kept the line honest.. and was singlehandedly responsible for me getting to that holy grail, I mean rail-- and I got to really be at a concert.

but I'd learned it was a long, hard, slog of a battle to get there.

Re: Forum Registration, Posting Tips, Usage and Watchtower email accounts
yet again, my account is not working.

is there anyone who has a moment to look into this, for me ? please--
same thing: when I am logged in, none of the posts are in chronological order. which makes finding threads difficult. I have to do a search to find a thread; then type my answer; then log out to see my post.

Generalizations based on country of origin might not provide an explanation.
met very chatty, excited fans from Italy & UK @ Lowell, MA show.
(they talked much during concert - maybe they too had limited vacations)

They were probably joining in with the chat to be polite, and being surrounded by Americans they wouldn't have been able to hear the show anyway. Though that's really their fault for going there, should have known better.

The circulating recordings of Lowell and Lewiston are almost unlistenable due to screaming and talking morons.

Generalizations based on country of origin does provide an explanation, listen to recordings from Japan, UK/Europe or almost anywhere outside of America, no other proof is required.

Love how I was censored but this post wasn't. Again, you have this ass as a moderator... Throwing out predjudice comments towards a whole country.

As I said before, from what I've heard about this non- American, his behavior is intolerable. Pretty sad he can generalize others when he is a complete hypocritical ass himself. Oh well!

Please if you erase this post, erase the racist bullshit YOUR moderator,Jack, said about a whole group of people first! That group includes Bob Dylan btw. He is American you know.

I completely agree with content Milkcow.
But I don't want to call the mod's names.
Why is this prejudice allowed by a moderator?

I don't think we'll get an answer.

and this asshole is a moderator...

go to a concert in Spain... listen to the chatiness there.... things are accepted in certain cultures. If you don't like one's culture don't bother with it. Instead I guess a few pompous asses find it necessary to blast certain cultures and countries... as if their shit doesn't stink. whatever...

and jack... my family hails from your parts. My dad was born in the UK and most of his family is there... however you insinuate we Americans have no manners, but unfortunately as European as you are, I've heard from quite a few of your own you are in fact a complete waste. Just sayin' Judgemental Jack!
